Check out this video from Keiichi Matsuda showing an idea of how Augmented Reality could be used in time to come - pretty much all of these ideas are technically possible now, so perhaps we’ll be experiencing things like this sooner than we think?
We are Milton Bayer, and this is our blog. keep checking back regularly for news, articles and fun stuff.
Milton Bayer.net Magazine feature!

Check out the new April Issue of .net Magazine to see us in the Website Build-off feature. Along with two other agencies, we were approached by “netmag” to design a homepage for the subject “City Tourism”, something we feel we’re pretty good at having worked with VisitBritain and VisitEngland for a number of years! We chose Northampton as our theme, and created a visual concept that takes advantage of our seasoned experience in the Travel & tourism market, along with new emerging web technologies to enhance the site.
The magazine is out now - but if you want to see the finished design, you can see on our web server by clicking here

Building Your Brand Through Creativity
Much has been said about the nature of branding. We at Milton Bayer believe that brands are not only at the heart and soul of a company, but they are the heart and soul of a company. They are the sum total of the beliefs and attitudes of who you perceive yourselves to be as a company, and more importantly, whom your consumers believe you to be. To miss-manage your brand and default on your core reason to exist can undermine the trust that you establish with those who believe in your brand enough to chose it over another. It is therefore essential to give yourself every advantage in communicating your uniqueness in ways that position your brand as the preferred choice in its category. Creativity enables this process to happen, and without it, your position in your market is under long term and short threat.
What is creativity, and how do we use it as a tool to build your brand?
Creativity is the ability to bring imagination into reality. A creative company such as Milton Bayer starts developing ideas and then has the capacity to bring those ideas to life. We at Milton Bayer love to work with new ideas and see them realized. Our expertise falls primarily in the area of Marketing Communications. We have years of experience in taking brands and multiplying their efficiency and communicating there distinctiveness in ways that surpass their competitors. We thrive on taking new and current brands and injecting them with the life they need to succeed and surpass their expectations. But how does this happen?
Please read on to find a few reasons why creativity is an essential component in building brands at Milton Bayer.
Football & Art…

Everchanging Wallnado
We’re all still waiting for the future technology that “Tomorrow’s World” promised us in our youth. Where’s our hover packs and personal robot butlers?? But in the meantime as we wait for Judith Hann to make good on her promises, here’s an innovative bit of design that may fill the gap.
Its not quite the “LCD Paint” that we were assured in 1993 would ‘be on everyone’s wall by the end of the millennium’, but its still a cool idea. Each of the square “pixels” on this wall by Yanko Design is a triangle of 3 colours (white, black and a spot colour). By turning each you can create a new design any time you wish, or even write mildly offensive words… perhaps directed at TVs Howard Stableford for his ill-advised Tomorrow’s World claims that we’d be driving “thought controlled cars” by 2002.

@font-face - use any fonts on Web sites safely and easily
I’ve been busy for the past few days writing down as much as I think I know about @font-face and decided to make a comprehensive guide to @font-face.
To quote: “@font-face is a CSS rule which allows you to show a font on a Web page even if that font is not installed on the users’ computer. This means that designers and developers can begin moving away from Web-safe fonts that users have pre-installed on their computer such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana and Trebuchet.”
As a Web developer / designer, we are hugely excited about this @miltonbayer as it means we can begin planning for Web sites without Arial, without background images for special headings or flash-replacement text.
I think you will find this guide is pretty solid, I compiled it more than anything, but if you think there is anything missing let us know here; I think it’s the most comprehensive guide out there. Correct me if I’m wrong: @font-face, support, implementation and best practice.
